Reserve Deputy

Reserve deputies are sworn, certified law enforcement officers, who work with the Sheriff’s Office. They are required to work at least 8 hours a month. Currently we have 10 reserve deputies. These deputies look and perform the same as the fulltime patrol units and fill in for or add to the patrol deputies as needed. They are required to pass all requirements as a full time officer including Basic Law Enforcement Training through the North Carolina Justice Standards Commission.
