Caswell County Detention Center
The Detention Center is a 42 bed facility. We hold inmates awaiting trial, sentencing, and for other facilities or jurisdictions. The detention center is divided into
two floors. There are three single cells and a female cell block with four beds.
In August, 2011 We broke ground on a new facility. A 29,000 sq. ft. new jail that will also house a new office for all sheriff's operations. A two level 108 bed capacity that will service the public locally and other jurisdictions. The new Sheriff's facility will be located next to the current jail. The 911 communications will expand at the existing sheriff's office and for other uses. We foresee to operate in the new facility by January, 2013.
