The Criminal Investigation Division consists of sworn deputies who have received specialized training in the fields of organized crime, including violent crimes against persons, property crimes, financial crimes, and computer crimes. Investigators generally conduct secondary investigations, develop suspects, manage caseloads, effect arrest, and present cases to the courts. To remain up-to-date regarding crime trends affecting our area, Investigators regularly attend meetings to discuss crime problems with other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Our staff are members of the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC) and the North Carolina Criminal Information Exchange (NCCIX).
